11th Presentation of Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal
Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal, an international biennale of contemporary photography, will launch its 11th presentation on September 10, 2009. Organized around the theme The Spaces of the Image developed by Guest Curator Gaëlle Morel, the event will consist of more than 20 solo exhibitions featuring works by artists from Québec, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, France, Israel, Lebanon, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
The exhibitions and public space interventions will be presented in partnership with different sites across the city (museums, galleries, artist-run centres, maisons de la culture). The event launch and several exhibitions will be held in the historic Saint-Henri district. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, all our exhibitions and activities open to the general public will be presented free of charge.
