“吞图”是一个以数码图片为核心的艺术项目。它诞生于2007年9月4日，依赖网络回收并播放图片维持生命。用户每上传一张图，吞图就多成长一分钟。吞图利用其独有的网络上传与展示系统，回收再利用过剩的图像资源。它通过网络把图片的泛滥变成线性的时间展示出来。它以一分钟一张图，不间断不重复的播放方式，把海量图片转换为时间。这样，一天，1440分钟，就是1440张图，一年365天，就是525600张图。它力图重新激活、创造这些零使用率，长期沉寂在硬盘里、网络上，或封存于记忆中的图片生命，并致力于开发其内在的剩余价值，以艺术的方式向世人展示。
"Hipic" is an art project centered around digital images. Born on September 4, 2007, it sustains itself by recycling and playing images online. Each image uploaded by a user adds one minute to Hipic's lifespan. Utilizing its unique online upload and display system, Hipic recycles and reuses surplus image resources. It transforms the abundance of images online into a linear, time-lapse display. Playing one image per minute, without interruption or repetition, it converts a massive amount of images into time. Thus, in a day of 1440 minutes, that's 1440 images; in a year of 365 days, that's 525,600 images. It strives to reactivate and recreate the lives of these unused images, long dormant on hard drives, online, or sealed in memory, and is dedicated to developing their inherent residual value, presenting them to the world through art.

吞图项目启动之初，由艺术家杨振中、徐震和黄奎，在上海比翼艺术中心发起，向全国各地的近一百位当代艺术家募集了30多万张数码图片作为启动资源。2008和2019年，得到由耿建翌主持的杭州江南布衣/想象力学实验室的赞助。之后，吞图通过网络回收和网友上传图片存活了五年，到2012年结束。
Hipic Project was initially launched by artists Yang Zhenzhong, Xu Zhen, and Huang Kui at the BizArt Art Center in Shanghai, collecting over 300,000 digital images from nearly one hundred contemporary artists across China as initial resources. In 2008 and 2019, it received sponsorship from the Hangzhou JNBY/Imagination Mechanics Lab, hosted by Geng Jianyi. Afterward, Hipic survived for five years through online collection and user-uploaded images, ending in 2012.

2007年12月8日，吞图参加了第三界连州摄影年展中的实验单元。在展厅里“吞图”为大家提供上传的电脑，方便在展览期间上传到“吞图”的摄影爱好者。
On December 8, 2007, Hipic participated in the experimental section of the 3rd Lianzhou Photography Festival. In the exhibition hall, Hipic provided computers for uploading photos, facilitating photography enthusiasts to upload their work to Hipic during the exhibition.

2008年1月14——1月16日 吞图参加“介入”：艺术生活366天项目。“吞图”在上海证大大拇指广场中央显示屏幕连续播放3天。
From January 14 to 16, 2008, Hipic participated in the "Intervention: 366 Days of Art in Life" project. Hipic's work was continuously displayed on the central screen of the Shanghai Zendai Thumb Plaza for three days.

2008年2月29日，吞图来到北京，举行了《吞图在北京》项目，分别在香格纳画廊北京、北京长征空间、北京U空间、北京现在画廊和北京公社同步启动，开幕式在香格纳画廊北京新空间举行。
On February 29, 2008, Hipic came to Beijing and launched the "Hipic in Beijing" project, which was launched simultaneously at ShanghART Gallery Beijing, Long March Space Beijing, U Space Beijing, Now Gallery Beijing, and Beijing Commune. The opening ceremony was held at the new space of ShanghART Gallery Beijing.

2008年4月，“吞图”在全球互动虚拟游戏“第二人生”上，有了自己的社区和屏幕。全球近两千万虚拟玩家在虚拟“吞图”大屏幕下，可实时同步观看和上传图片。
In April 2008, "Hipic" gained its own community and screen on the global interactive virtual game "Second Life." Nearly 20 million virtual players worldwide could view and upload images in real time on the virtual "Hipic" screen.

"Hipic" is an art project centered around digital images. Born on September 4, 2007, it sustains itself by recycling and playing images online.
